Cory Downs graduated from Purdue University in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in building construction management. He began his career in Florida as a superintendent in residential construction, then worked as a project engineer for a large concrete company before moving back home to work for his family’s business.
Wanting to do more, Downs started working in heavy highway construction in 2015. Since then, he has been an employee-owner at Rieth-Riley Construction in the Lafayette Area office. He started as a project engineer then advanced to project manager. In this role, Downs has managed multiple projects ranging from smaller city, county and private paving work to large INDOT reconstruction work.
Downs resides with his wife, son and daughter in rural Fountain County. He and his wife enjoy watching their children play sports, spending time outdoors, exercising, socializing with friends and family and going to Purdue sporting events to cheer on the Boilers. #ICLI #ICI #leadershipdevelopment #letsbuildIN #letsbuildinleaders
